Paul Harris

School Worker

e-mail:

I left school after not doing so well in my A-levels. I turned my part time job in a shop into a full time one and was there for a few years. I really enjoyed it and progressed well. After a while though, I found it hard to get motivated. I still remember seeing a fence that someone had graffitied on with the words 'why do you do this everyday?' This got me thinking and I soon realised that I didn't know.

Soon after I was asked if I wanted to do a year out with a local schools work charity. I took the opportunity and enjoyed it so much I stayed for a second year. During these years I learnt a lot about myself and who I was in God's eyes. That was about 5 years ago and since then I have been working for a church and doing a degree in youth work and theology.

I really enjoy going into schools; challenging young people and being challenged myself on what life is about and how God fits into it all.
